How warm are these shoes?

The fleece-style lining is made for cold winter days and everyday walking. If you're standing still in deep cold for long stretches, wear a thermal sock with them.

Are they waterproof?

The upper is water-repellent, so it handles light rain, frost and wet grass. They aren't sealed wellingtons — for heavy, sustained rain we'd suggest a spray-on waterproofing treatment.

Will they grip on muddy or icy paths?

The lugged rubber outsole is made for wet pavement, gravel, mud and woodland paths. Sheet ice defeats any ordinary sole, so take the usual care there.

How do I choose my size?

Sizes are listed in UK sizing and the shoe has a wide, roomy shape. If you're between sizes, or you plan to wear thick winter socks, take the larger size.

How do I clean them?

Wipe with a damp cloth and let them air-dry away from direct heat. Don't put them in the washing machine or dry them on a radiator.
