How much weight does it hold?
The single Lounora comfortably holds one adult and the double is sized for two people or roughly 200kg of recreational use. The canvas is thick and the rope ends are tightly bound, but we'd avoid sudden bouncing or overloading beyond the stated sizes.
How do I hang it up?
Loop the rope ends over two sturdy anchor points — trees, posts, a hammock frame or strong wall hooks — about three to four metres apart, and adjust the height to suit. There are no poles or tools needed, and it takes only a minute or two once you've chosen your spot.
Can I use it indoors?
Yes. Plenty of people hang the Lounora in a conservatory, playroom or cosy corner using strong wall or ceiling hooks rated for the weight. It's an easy way to keep that relaxed, swinging feel going through the colder months when the garden's off-limits.
What's the difference between single and double?
The single is around 200 x 80cm and ideal for one person to lounge or nap. The double is roughly 260 x 150cm, giving enough room for two to share or one person to really stretch out. Both use the same thick striped canvas and rope ends.
Is the canvas easy to look after?
Very. The striped canvas is colour-fast and hard-wearing, so a quick brush-down or wipe with a damp cloth keeps it fresh. When the weather turns, just unhook it, let it dry fully and fold it away somewhere dry until next time.
